PD Dr. Simona A. Grano

Simona Grano is a senior lecturer at University of Zurich, specialising in Chinese and Taiwan studies. She has held research and teaching positions at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice in Italy, the University of Zurich in Switzerland, and the National Cheng'chi University in Taiwan. In addition to her academic roles, Dr Grano is a Research Fellow at the European Research Center on Contemporary Taiwan (ERCCT) in Tübingen, Germany, a Research Associate at SOAS in London, and a Senior Fellow on Taiwan at the Center for China Analysis in New York.
She is the author of "Environmental Governance in Taiwan: A New Generation of Activists and Stakeholders", published by Routledge in 2015. Dr Grano also regularly contributes articles, commentaries and interviews to Swiss and international media. In 2020, together with several colleagues, she co-authored a China strategy guide - Osservatorio di Politica Internazionale- produced for the Italian Senate.
