Dr. iur. Angela Müller

Dr Angela Müller is the Executive Director of AlgorithmWatch CH and leads its policy team in Berlin and Zurich. She focuses on the social impact and governance of algorithms and AI. She has served as an expert in various policy committees at the national, European and international level. She is also a member of an expert group of the Swiss Federal Administration and the Federal Media Commission. In 2024, she was named one of the '100 Women in AI Ethics‘ worldwide.
Angela Müller studied political philosophy and ethics and holds a PhD in law from the University of Zurich. She has conducted research on human rights in the context of globalisation and new technologies and has been a visiting scholar at Columbia University, New York, and the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. Before joining AlgorithmWatch, she worked in academia, innovation promotion, civil society and the federal administration.
