KKdt Thomas Süssli

Lieutenant General Süssli is responsible for the command of the armed forces. He heads the defence sector of the department and is thus directly subordinate to the head of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS), Federal Councillor Viola Amherd. The Chief of the Armed Forces is in charge of the Armed Forces Staff, the Operations Command, the Armed Forces Logistics Organisation, the Cyber Command and the Training Command.
